Yeah, I completely understand all that, it's just that for almost 2 years after Cingular bought AT&T we had no trouble with the phone reception. Then suddenly it would drop out randomly. We hadn't moved, hadn't got new phones, nothing had changed on our part. When I spoke with Cingular about the problem they said it must be the phone. The same phone that worked fine the week before. The kindly offered to get me a new phone if I agreed to a 2 year contract with them. Sounds like a racket to me.
But if you're not having problems with them, then good for you!
