Eh, okay. Well, the difference with Comp and whatnot is they have a deal going with mulitple carriers and the carriers are "supposed to be" responsible for getting the stores trained and prepared for activations and whanot. I'm sure that an Apple store could go to Cingular's online verification and signup process to get an activation set up however that seems so "un-apple" to me. At the Bellevue Comp where we had on-hand reps from T-Mobile, Cingular/AT&T and Nextel 3 days a week they still had to go through a 15 minute process just to put in a subscriber's info and get started. If they didn't have a good credit history, we'd have to send them to the provider if it came back that they needed to make a deposit in order to activate. Very "blah" process and I hope Apple is able to figure out a way to smooth it out a bit.
