MS's Brad Smith speaks, and the forehead slapping and eye rolling begins....

What a shmuck...
"It is this position that Smith appears to take issue with. "I believe that fundamentally people who produce content and who own the rights to that content deserve the opportunity to make their own decisions about how they want to provide that content to the public," he said."
This is in response to SJ calling for a removal of DRM from the iTunes content. What the moron fails to realize is that the individual artists have little to no control over how their content is distributed, hell just ask Trent Reznor who runs his own sub-label, makes Interscope BILLIONS easily yet is getting sued for publishing his own music at fairly high quality and letting fans listen to it for free as well as letting them download free copies from his myspace page, etc. The artistsdon't have control, the labels do and they aren't the ones producing the content, they are the ones paying for and distributing it, there's a HUGE difference there.
When oh when is someone from M$ going to pull their head out of their ass long enough to see the faintest glimpse of reality? Probably when monkeys fly out of my butt but I'm going to keep hoping...
