That's Apple's model number, and there's a way you can find out the manufacturer part # in Windows, which several people have already saved you the hassle of doing: It's the AUO Optronics B154PW01 V0.

If you go to the manufacturer page for that series, it now brings up specs for the replacement model, the B154PW03 V0. This model has better specs in all other categories, but is still 6-bit.

If you step into the Way Back Machine (I love that site!) and look at an older version of the same page, you will see the specs for the screen you have.
