So, a kid who's getting sued by the RIAA for downloading 7, yes SEVEN songs from Kazaa has gotten the support of Havard Law in his defense. The court filings by them are indeed quite creativley verbose but it's nice to see people standing up against the Recording Association for Pop-song Economics (Bonus points to those who recognize where that's from. lol) and hopefully this might go on to limit their potential for abuse.
One lovely little gem in the Harvard group's complaint:
"the ulterior purposes of creating an urban legend so frightening to children using computers, and so frightening to parents and teachers of students using computers, that they will somehow reverse the tide of the digital future."
